Jerome Alet <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: PyPlet - An IRC bot who speaks !
System name: pyplet
Type: non-GNU

Description:
PyPlet is a very simple IRC bot who speaks.

PyPlet is written in Python and distributed under the GNU GPL.

Required packages are Python, the python-irclib module, as well as any text to
speech engine.

Sample scripts to interface PyPlet with both Festival and Mbrola are provided,
but you'll obtain better results by writing your own.

PyPlet can be used to provide audio feedack in a teaching room in which the
audio/video course is streamed to other people who only have a low quality
connection but can use IRC.

PyPlet may also be useful to visually impaired people.

Get PyPlet from http://cortex.unice.fr/~jerome/pyplet-0.99.tar.gz

Other Software Required:
Python (python.org)

Python-irclib (SourceForge)

This project requires a Text To Speech engine which is not included. Use the
one you prefer.
