Matt Kavanagh <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: other
Other License: SQUALK is to be licensed under only the GNU GPL v2, as due to
the non-deterministic nature of the universe the contents of later versions of
the GNU GPL is unknown to the author. ;)
Package: SQUALK modular IRC services
System name: squalk
Type: non-GNU

Description:
SQUALK is intended to be a (randomly named) modular, multithreaded services bot
for IRC, utilising a client/server model to allow seamless upgrades of all but
the most central code. It is written in PHP, and due to the platform-specific
nature of some of the functions on which it depends (for example, the process
control functions) will only run on UNIX-like platforms. Also of note is the
author's determination to use PHP 5 specific features although that is not yet
the de facto PHP version, or even stable ;)

SQUALK is still in the planning stage, and therefore has no code to show,
although it is likely to use code from the SmartIRC project to a certain extent.

Other Software Required:
PHP 5.0.0b1 or greater compiled with --enable-sockets and with the pcntl
functions for multithreading.
