ASWAD will provide Public Administrations with a unified Intranet solution 
based on Free Software. Starting from the existing technologies, the project 
integrates three functional areas:



Groupware: the system includes components for calendaring, contacts management, 
email handling, document management;



Workflow management: the system manages the workflow behind the groupware 
components, is flexible enough to capture the workflow of all the departments 
involved in the project, is  easy to modify;



Personal assistants: the software integrates with the other two 
functionalities, enabling users to filter and process information, and to 
automatically delegate tasks to others.
