A Java port of Tim Buckwalter's Arabic Morphological Analyzer v. 1.0

originaly written in Perl and distributed under the GPL.



Additional components for indexing arabic content with Lucene

Dependencies with Jakarta Commons Collections library

(http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/collections.html), distributed under the 
Apache Software Licence. This library will be included in the distribution.



The Analyzer can be optionally linked to Lucene library 
(http://jakarta.apache.org/lucene/docs/index.html), distributed under the 
Apache Software Licence. This library will also be included in the distribution.



For now, a JVM compliant with Sun's JDK 1.4+ is required as the code uses its 
native regexp capabilities. Code can be quite easily rewritten to allow the use 
of an external, free, regexp library.



Other Comments:
Resubmission claryfing the dependencies : No dependency to proprietatry stuff.
