Richie Wood <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: cronus load balancing system
System name: cronus
Type: GNU

Description:
A pure software load balancer to determine the load factors

of several servers to determine the best machine to send

requests too. It will use a simple ACK/ENQ/NAK to determine if

the server is alive and the service on the machine is ready

for requests. The server should also respond back with the

CPU, memory, and network loads to determine the servers impact.

Once the load balancer has determined the machine to send the

request too it creates a pipe between it's incoming and outgoing

sockets to send the clients request to the least impacted server.

The primary goals for the project will be for the load balancer to

be service independant (pop3, http, etc). Full documentation and 100%

ansii code. And no dependancies on proprietary technologies.

There is currently no code written for the project as I've been

focusing on ironing our details for it.
