Hello team!
You might be aware about Savannah, right?
If not, take a look at:
http://savannah.gnu.org
In the near future there will be created a Savannah project to deal
with GNU documents (files in /gd/gnuorg).
This will mean that the way we interact with these documents will
change, because these documents will be handled via CVS.
So, instead of logging into fencepost to modify "volunteers", you will
have to check out a working copy to your machine, work on it, and then
commit your changes back to the CVS repository.
/gd/gnuorg on fencepost will not disappear, it will be automatically
updated every time somebody commits a change, but the permissions will
be set in a way that it won't be possible to modify it while logged in
fencepost.
So, even if you log into fencepost and this is the only machine you
can use, you will have to check out a working copy to your home
directory.
Resources to learn/use CVS
http://cvshome.org

Type: info cvs (in your machine)
If you need training on using CVS, send me an email and I can give you
a crash course on it so you are up and running in minutes.
Greetings,
