 Update: Sun progressively releases parts of the JDK as free software 
(http://www.fsf.org/news/fsf-welcomes-gpl-java.html).
 JDK 1.7 should be free. Until then, the following still applies.

  Sun now plans to release J2ME as free software as well :) But until then, 
that's still proprietary.
