Ron, I'm not answering your question, as I see Thomas has already done a good 
job.   ;-)

I'm the "official" maintainer on rdiff-backup now, but it doesn't mean I do a 
lot (super busy with paid work)...  But there's a specific question I'd like to 
ask you.  Not long ago, the rdiff-backup website was very confusing, covered 
with broken links, and it was difficult to find this mailing list, difficult to 
join, read, post.  I made some efforts to clean it all up, and I'd like to know 
what your experience was like.

Were you able to find all the information you wanted easily?  Were you able to 
join this mailing list easily?  Have you read the man page, or the FAQ?

(The FAQ, in particular, is extremely helpful.)  But by the looks of your 
question, I'm guessing you already know that.   ;-)
