Now I wonder if this is a file corruption error on some source
directory, as I had before, or something else? If its a file
corruption error, any way to tell which directory its on?
Hi John,
Yes, this is ultimately due to a file corruption issue, probably
related to inodes. The fact that it produced this particular error
message is due to a typo in CVS -- thanks for testing! I have updated
CVS and attached the replacement rorpiter.py file.
With this fixed file, you will see the appropriate warning message
about your fs corruption. I suggest running rdiff-backup with -v5 to
see which file has lead to this error.
Sorry for the delay in solving your problem; I've been away.
best,
Andrew
