Hi there

I have got a long standing problem with the following error:

Fatal Error: --never-drop-acls specified, but ACL support
missing from destination filesystem

However, ACL support is working on both systems.

Hi David,

Do you have pylibacl installed? That is necessary for Python to be able to read and modify the ACL entries on teh filesystem. Without it installed, it will report this error.

You can confirm whether or not rdiff-backup is loading the pylibacl module by running with the -v4 option. Near the top of the output it will say.

You can download pylibacl from: http://pylibacl.sourceforge.net/ or perhaps install it with your distribution's package management tool.

hope this helps,
Andrew
