I already had the 64-bit libsrync. But I had a new problem installing
the rdiff app itself. Here's the error I encountered:

python setup.py install
running install
running build
running build_py
running build_ext
building 'rdiff_backup._librsync' extension
gcc -pthread -shared build/temp.linux-x86_64-2.3/_librsyncmodule.o -
lrsync -o build/lib.linux-x86_64-2.3/rdiff_backup/_librsync.so
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lrsync
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1
