[rdiff-backup-users] problem with --list-changed-since - BUG?

hello !

for some days i`m using "--list-changed-since 1B" to control, what`s being 
backed up and whats "happening" on my server.

i do "rdiff-backup --list-changed-since 1B ./rdiff-repo" from time to time.

today i downloaded a file to /tmp and also unzipped the file in tmp on the 
server i`m backing up.

it seems i found some weirdness:

"--list-changed-since 1B" is telling me (besides other new/changed/deleted 
files):

changed tmp
new     tmp/vmw-060510.tar.gz.1

but - what about the files in /tmp/vmw ?
and what about the "real" .tar.gz ?  vmw-060510.tar.gz.1 is just a broken 
version of  vmw-060510.tar.gz

i'm confused.
