I've tried to understand the backup exclude mechanism, but, apparently,
have failed dismally.
-- so I'm just going to ask (I have been trying on -and off for about a
month now, and really need to get this online.)
Where I have the following structure:
/home
.../lost+found
.../foo-users
.../shares
....../music
........./foo-users
....../share.ppsi
........./no.backup
........./(most paths in the backup)
....../script
........./backup-goes-here
and I want to back up everything in /home except for the (music and all
sub-paths under music) and the (no.backup and all sub-paths under
no.backup), how do I set up my exclude file, and what command do I use
to execute rdiff-backup?
-- Also -- now that rdiff backup has incorrectly backed up a path that I
don't want backed up, how do I reset it to a state where it thinks it is
the first backup ever -- so that I can continue testing with a clean set?
Thanks for any help given.
