Ok CVS rdiff-backup should now preserve symlink ownership. Thank you
for the bug report/test case.

Hi!

I'm also testing rdiff-backup but I get lot of:

    Warning: lchown missing, cannot change ownership of symlink /

On command:

    rdiff-backup -v4 --print-statistics --exclude-other-filesystems /localpath address@hidden::/remotepath

The ownership on symlink (remote directory) are set to root:root instead of the expected user:group... Is this result expected?

Both systems (client/server) have the same config:

rdiff-backup 1.0.4
Redhat 9 (2.4.32)
Python 2.2.2 (#1, Feb 24 2003, 19:13:11)
[GCC 3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-4)] on linux2

Thanks!

Ben
