Details:
For large backups over remote connections, I have started to notice that most
of the time spent is the remote host compressing snapshots and moving them.
Now part of why I love rdiff-backup is that it does so this, but I think that
an option to force the remote client to wait for all transfers to finish, then
disconnect and go back and compress everything on its own. Not I know there
are plenty of scenarios where that may not work, but for people who are
starting to use rdiff-backup in larger deployments, the ability to disconnect
the client in half the time would be priceless.
