        cvs :pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/ratpoison login
        cvs :pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/ratpoison co ratpoison
        cd ratpoison
        ./autogen.sh
        # dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot
        
        make
        make install

The makefiles I actually use are attached.
