Qexo 1.7.90 implements the xmlspace declaration: declare xmlspace preserve; You can also create explicit text nodes with whitespace: <result>{" ... "}</result>See the "3.7.1.4 Whitespace in Element Content" and "4.10 xmlspace declaration" sections of the November XQuery specification.
