I cannot reproduce it, win10 boots OK under qemu 3.0.0 here (I am using libvirt).

I have this problem under OpenSuse Leap 15 and Tumbleweed. Where the first one is self compiled and the later one part of TW.

I also start it as a shell command or from the KDE start command (krunner). Qemu 2.12.1 has no issues.

Found the problem: removing '-cpu host' did undo the freezing!!
The host here is a AMD Phenom II cpu. It seems that this is deemed as not appropriate anymore?
