You can, yes. (Bear in mind that my target-arm.next
branch is a rebasing branch, so you can't git merge
or pull it; you need to fetch it and then rebase
your patchstack on it.)

On the A and R profile code path this command line
is taken from the existing "-append" option. Is
there a reason we can't just make the M profile
code do the same thing?
