Hi Alex:
    I have been test with the QEMU Master version for several days, and the 
issue is not appear too. 
I think you have fixed it using the timeout instead of alarm timer! 
It' great!
But I want to know why alarm timer will make the problem, is the reason that 
losing the alarm event?

Does that one happen on master/1.7 as well? Oddly we saw this one or something 
like it on Xen+qemu.
