At http://www.boblycat.org/~malc/code/patches/qemu/ you will find
latest audio, gus/opl3 and retrace patches. Highlights of the release:
======================================================================
Audio (15_aqemu)
a. Major overhaul of whole audio subsystem
1. Does no longer depend on host as a clock source
2. Uses only one timer for all slave emulated cards
3. A lot of bugs fixed
4. Anecdotic evidence suggests that it noticably improves guest
performance
b. DirectSound driver, DAC/ADC (-enable-dsound required when
configuring)
c. More idiosyncratic aproach to partial buffer transfers made ALSA
driver just as good (if not better) than OSS, latency is very good
too (-enable-alsa required when configuring)
d. Two new command line options were added -soundhw and -audio-help
Manual was updated to elaborate on them
I recommend anyone interested in audio (especially Windows and MacOS X
users) to give it a try.
======================================================================
GUS/OPL3 (5_aog_qemu)
a. Updated for 15_aqemu
======================================================================
Retrace (3_rqemu)
a. Some sort of documentation added
b. Small bug fix preventing certain games to run with the patch
applied but not activated (Zephiris)
This one is required for some DOS games/demos.
Thank you
Zephiris
