Now your host machine is a router between the vde network
and the real network.
follow a HOWTO on linux networking to find out HOW to configure a router.
e.g. if you want to see the vde network as an internal masqueraded net
you can use something like
# echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward
# modprobe iptable_nat
# iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE
