It's rather simple actually, I presume you guys are using the glade software that comes with Gnome? It will automatically get all the strings from the files, and spit them out to messages.po (I think it's that filename anyway). So, right now.. I'm integrating gettext in globally. This will save a little code overhead I think.
 
What do you guys think about getting the locale? I can get it by using $(LANG) in the Makefile.. but, should I have the Makefile run msgfmt on ALL of the locale files, or just the locale that's set for the user? Hope that wasn't too confusing...
 
Also, are any of you on FreeNode or other IRC network? Would be nice to have some real-time conversations with the other developers too.
