Maybe we're straying a bit from the topic at hand... Should we fix the Windows build to support PSQL?
My point is that I don't see much use, but clearly Philip Curran sees a use. And John's answer seems pretty emphatically in favor of the feature. So, if it's missing from the Windows version, that sounds like a problem.

For big data and realtime data the use of a database looks a good idea to me.
