Thanks Ben, yes I am on Windows, I am looking at the possibility of
using PSPP instead of SPSS.
Thanks for your help, if I need to download information on how to use
the software to run analysis, where should I look?

That will only help you if you want to build PSPP from source
yourself.
If you want to install PSPP without doing that, then visit the
following page and choose one of the available binaries:
http://www.gnu.org/software/pspp/get.html

Really I meant "what kind of OS are you using" but I guess it
must be Windows.
