Please Fabio, include these two in our FAQs, after proper revision of
course.

- Are there any plans to make Protux a Jack client ?
In few words, Protux is based on a ALSA Wrapper called MADM (Mustux Audio
Device Mapper). Each audio stream opened (in or out) has its own thread,
exclusively for this purpose, so no pooling or callback routines are done
at all. This garantees a real smooth audio stream and does not depend on any
kind of machine´s clock resolution.
Since Jack requires the application to be callback driven, we supposed that
Protux will never be a Jack client.
In other hands, we are studying the possibility to turn MADM into a real
Mixing Engine and ALSA Wrapping Service ( with no callback driven
requirements), which would mean than MADM would be a Jack alternative
itself. Check or mailing lists for further discussion on this topic.

- Why Protux does not support OSS ?
OSS (Open Sound System) is deprecated even for the Linux kernel development
scope. ALSA offers a much more reliable and robust driver wrapping, so we
dont see any reason to support OSS anymore.
