Hey, I think you got it. Good thing I asked before I spent a day figuring this out. I certainly wouldn't mind helping out with PT although I am not a scripting genius at anything, I'm actually a network tech with a programming hobby. I'm just an average joe who can get the job done, lots of hair pulling sometimes, but I eventually get it. This is my first 'real' php project I am doing, I usually work in Perl and then really only in a network tech, need perl script to do this/do that sort of way although I like to dabble :) hence the effort I'm putting into PT. I have some Perl stuff if you want to look at that. I am learning as I go, as we always do, and eventually want to convert all my wonderful Perl stuff to PHP just for something to do and maybe learn something along the way!
Cheers! TW
From: Brandon Tallent <address@hidden> I think I've already coded something similar to what you're talking about. It's a short answer, fill in the blank type question. It still uses the same questions table in the db, but instead of having correct, alt_1, alt_2, alt_3, it uses alt_1, alt_2, and alt_3 to store alternate correct versions of the answer. That allows you to account for stuff like 96 vs .96 vs 96 cents.
