UW-IMAP doens't allow both mail and subfolders in a subfolder, so you 
must choose between a subfolder and mail.

address@hidden bgmilne]$ find mail -type d|wc -l
     10
address@hidden bgmilne]$ find mail -type f|wc -l
     65

65 mbox files in 10 folders for my mail directory.
