Hi,

here some information for the folders module.

Cheers, fips

The folders module shows all categories of the phpgroupware
to the actual phpgw user.
To get all valid categories for this user the following
SQL statement is used:

SELECT cat_id AS id,
       cat_parent AS parent_id,
       cat_name AS text,
       cat_name AS href,
       cat_name AS title,
       cat_appname AS target
FROM phpgw_categories
WHERE ( cat_owner='?' or cat_access = 'public')

? - is the ID of the actual user who is logged in.

Additionally the folders module is able to show all
mail accounts with all its mail folders for the actual
phpgw user.

This feature is only available to user which have the
email module enabled in their account configuration.

To parse and show the categories and mail folders, the
application folders uses the project 'phplayersmenu'.
This project is included without changing the original
source code of this project.
The folders application only builds a new child of one
original phplayersmenu class to realize an interface
between the phpgw and phplayersmenu.

The phplayersmenu allows to show its content (in this
case categories and email folders) in a vertical tree
(like the file browser trees) or in a horizontal menu.
The actual version of the folders application only allows
a vertical tree view.

Each element in this tree is a hyperlink to the according
phpgw module with a category or email foders information.
So if a user clicks on a certain category (element in the
folders tree) of the todo module - The todo module is called
with this certain category as a search criteria.
( The $_GET-Var 'fcat_id' is used therefore ).
For email folders the same procedure is used but with
different $_GET-Vars.
