Yeah, I don't know exactly what the deal is. The code seems to do the
correct thing, including printing warnings and shutting down ok, from my
C++ app.
I will note that Python released 2.5.2 within two days ago (2/21) with
bugfixes that I don't think have made it into ubuntu yet. Things like:
