The eXosip library has been released in the CVS
of savannah.

This library is the 'eXtended osip library' and is license
GPL. (not like the osip library!).

It is considered to be unfinished work but yet usable for
simple purposes...
No way to detail audio/video capabilities.
No way to retreive those info.
Missing some logic, authentication (reacting to 302, 407)
 uncomplete transfer...
 uncomplete subscribe/notify
no support for other body than SDP.
 API not really fixed.

eXosip is based on a developpement version of osip
which aims to become the osip2 library. With this
modified version compatibility won't be kept. osip2
will replace the osip library when considered stable.

eXosip comes with 2 new applications: the first
one is josua which completely replace the old
test application. (there is no relation between
this and the test application, except that I took
the name!)

To test the application, try:

make
./josua/josua -f "<sip:address@hidden>" -p $YOUR_LOCAL_PORT
   -t "sip:address@hidden" -s "hello"

The previous command will call "joe" as "jack" using a
ncurses interface tiny client. As said before, this
application like eXosip is unfinished...

If your knowledge about SIP is limited, you are
strongly encouraged to use eXosip. Of course, you
can do that only if the GPL license fit you.

Commercial license for eXosip is also available for
people that want more.
