Don't know if this really qualifies as a bug, but there were too many open files on my MacOS system, which resulted in parallel doing:

Couldn't open /dev/null: Too many open files in system
parallel: This should not happen. You have found a bug.
Please contact <parallel@gnu.org> and include:
* The version number: 20161022
* The bugid: fdr: Cannot open /var/folders/98/fsz8_hvd0c5bj2clc_s__06r0000gs/T/parMtqDh.par
* The command line being run
* The files being read (put the files on a webserver if they are big)

If you get the error on smaller/fewer files, please include those instead.

I don't think the command line being run or files being read (none) are relevant in this case.

Thanks,

- Larry
