Hi.
I had a similar problem once and it proved to be two different things.
One was that i had the settings wrong in the airframe file
and the other was a bad xbee pro modem.
After fixing both problem i tried testing all the remaining Xbee pro modems
and use different channels  in hope of finding a  cleaner channel.
In one channel i tried i think it was the default "C" i experienced one 
way communication due to interference which went away when i changed 
channel.
