Hooray! Bravo! Blessed be the developers!!
Today's dnf upgrade of Fedora 28 contained an item for Pan. Now
both PC #1 and also PC #3 (but, oddly, not PC #2) have their whole GUI
back, without changing LightDM, and Pan along with it. Bushels of thanks!
