Note that the default hotkey for quote-muting is "q".  Most of the 
inquiries about it are from people that evidently hit that key 
accidentally, and didn't know how to undo it as they didn't know what 
they hit.

The manual requires a few extra deps and must be enabled at build-time.  
It was also apparently not available (I run a plasma desktop and thus 
would need a few more deps installed than people probably would who are 
running a similar-version-gtk-based desktop, so I leave it off and wasn't 
aware it was missing until the announcement that it returned) for one or 
more versions and was only reintroduced in April (I have Petr's 
announcement still marked), so it's possible your version either doesn't 
have it available, or it wasn't enabled by whoever built/packaged it.
