If you're using KDE (I'm not sure what Fedora defaults to), window
geometry can be altered using that via the context menu at top LHS of
window.  Look for "Advanced/Special Window settings..." then the
Geometry tab.

I'd have hoped that Gnome has similar functionality, but having never
done more than use Gnome very briefly, IDK whether it has or not.
