Wierd stuff.
Firstly, I guess I'd file a bug report as they suggest, though
the gcc version is so old it probably won't come to anything. :/
Secondly, the *-test apps are only used for "make check"
unit tests. It won't hurt anything if you remove message-check-test
from its Makefile.am.
