I got all the messages.  My newsserver's cache is very large and messages
don't expire.

I had only "Match only unread articles" checked.  If I uncheck that option and
check "Match only cached articles" the thread display looks normal, although
enormously long.

Something changed here from old Pan or I can't seem to get the options setup
as they where.  Now I have only "Match only cached articles" selected.  I have
a huge list of all threads in this group.  It seems that threads that have a
new post are double-underlined.  In the above case, "AMD patent about inverse
hyperthreading" is double-underlined.  If I select it, all the subthreads are
displayed correctly with new articles in bold.  That's fine.

I think before the way it worked for me was: I grabbed new headers.  Pan
displayed unexpanded threads, but _only_ the threads that had new posts, the
double-underlined threads in new Pan.  When I expanded the thread, I seen all
the old articles and the new ones were in bold.

Can I get this behavior with new Pan?
