I ran in to this earlier too. I decided not to read gmane with pan
(because you couldn't kill threads) and i haven't seen the problem
since. I didn't really think more about it...
I did some digging when i ran in to this. On the first run newsrc is
created for both servers (i had 2). On the second run i saw my
subscribed groups in other groups, i resubscribed and the newsrc
contained only the subscribed groups (for both servers)
At this point i fiddled for a while and gave up. I removed gmane and i
ended up with a subscribed groups list with all subscribed groups
mentioned twice (and dupes in newsrc too).
My guess is that there is a problem somewhere in parsing the newsrc
files that is causing all this.
