I've tried to do some logging on Mandrake 9.0, in case Charles or
Christophe can get anything out of it. The three logs are included in
the enclosed .tar.gz file.

error1.log:
Started Pan normally, loaded two groups, errors when loading the
second one. Saved status log, removed most of the non-error
messages in the beginning and end, and removed a lot of similar
error messages, the majority "line 1056" errors.

A diff between the 0.14.0.90 and the 0.14.0 article.c showed that
the reported lines have changed.

debug1.log:
Started Pan with "pan --debug >debug1.log". Loaded the group that
caused problems last time. (Observed errors in status log.)

backtrace1.txt:
Tried to make a backtrace by following the instructions on the Pan
website. This failed, resulting in multiple "(no debugging symbols
found)...". Pan started, but didn't respond. "backtrace1.txt" is
the console output, not the actual backtrace file.
