TBH don't bother. The whole point of nntp and Usenet is that it works
without being on line, threads properly and is not the web. Web fora are
an abomination, they are glitzy, unthreaded and not worth the paper they
aren't written on.
If anyone does write a patch for this, please put it somewhere else than
in the standard Pan source.
