        Well, on the whole, I think Pan does a fine job with its
interface. There are things I'd like that don't exist, and things exist
that I never use. But looking at the whole picture, I think Pan is
probably the best newsreader I've ever used. New features are added
constantly, bugs are fixed pretty quickly, and the guys in charge really
seem to care that they make a good application.

        I have yet to find any interface item that I consider a
show-stopper when it comes to using Pan.

        You don't mention it, so I'm guessing you haven't found the
'tabbed layout' option under the "view" menu. It gives each component the
full application window. I use it exclusively, as at 1024x768, paned
viewing (in a font that I don't need a magnifying glass to see ;) is
cluttered.

        Not sure that I would be in favor of giving each it's very own
window... the last thing I need on my desktop are *more* windows, esp. if
more than one of them belongs to a single application.
