Further to that, on startup Pan should detect whether it was shut down because
of a crash/kill or because it exited normally.
If it shut down because of a crash/kill, it should offer you the opportunity to
clear the task list (or maybe even delet individual entries)
To see what I mean, check out the Opera browser. When it starts up, it
automatically opens up all your pages as they were when you exited, unless it
detects that it had crashed, in which case it prompts you to start up where you
left off or start up with no windows.
