[Openexr-devel] Re: [Openexr-user] Cannot compile exrdisplay on Mac OS X

I'm redirecting this to openexr-devel.

Here's where we're at with OS X. I just checked in a few small changes
(and have about 2 more, which I'll do in the next few minutes) that make
exrdisplay compile and run on OS X.

The fixes for powf and logf are just to use ImathMath.h :)

Anyway, it runs and pops up a window with the correctly-rendered OpenEXR
image, but I can't give it focus, and it doesn't show up in the "Force
Quit" menu from the Finder. I suspect I'm missing some sort of "Quartz
main ()" function or something like that. If any of you Mac developers
want to give it a shot, lemme know. The remaining CVS fixes will be
checked in in a moment. See the OpenEXR project page on Savannah for info
on how to use CVS to get the sources, and read README.CVS.

Also, the December 2002 tools appear to build shared libs correctly now,
but I do get some warnings about weak symbols. And I can link a shared
version of exrdisplay, but it just hangs and doesn't pop up a window. Not
sure what that's all about at all. It might be related to the problem I
discussed above.

I'd welcome a Project Builder project file for OpenEXR, if someone wants
to cook one up. Also, I'm looking for hints on how to make a pre-compiled
lib/include package using Package Builder. I haven't had time to look
into either one of these things yet.

thanks!
