Thanks for you work, Colin.

But there already exists a function imfindcirlces, that I've written some
months ago. See patch #9448. It is already part of the image repository and
will be released with the next major release of the image package.

If you are still motivated, you could check this existing imfindcircles
function and double check that it properly works in your use cases.

If you see an additional benefit of your implementation (that doesn't intend
to be fully Matlab compatible), then please let us know here. Maybe the image
package maintainer can then add it to the image package with a slightly
different name, as an Octave-only function.
