Follow-up Comment #15, patch #8607 (project octave):

I remember this. We spoke about it on the IRC channel and I said I would
review it. But we froze for octave 4.0.0 sooner than I expected and the first
release candidate was released on March 5th.

This will have to go into 4.2.
