Rust bindings for GNU Octave oct.h

Thanks for your mail and github link.
Unfortunately my Rust skills are not good enough to be of any help.
But I also got curious if Rust could be useful for IoT and Raspberry Pi ( ARM ) 
PCB s
and other forms of Bare Metal programming.
My Octave skills are OK but I want to focus on Interval and Nonlinear Time 
Series Analysis 
Hope you can enlighten us what the purpose should be for using Rust with Octave
