On a separate note, the src/octave.mk file references the tarball
octave-4.0.0-rc4 at alpha.gnu.org. Even if this is the same code that
became the 4.0.0 release, wouldn't it be better to change the reference to
octave-4.0.0 at ftp.gnu.org which is the true release tarball?
