Thanks Julien for getting this started.

I don't know a lot about Task Management (TM).

Up to now, several sub-optimal tools having been used.
You can find several occurrences in the wiki:
<http://wiki.octave.org/Release_3.8#3.8_Release_Tasks>
<http://wiki.octave.org/3.8_Bug_Fix_List>
and
<http://wiki.octave.org/Projects>
<http://wiki.octave.org/Short_projects>

To a lesser extent, Savannah Tasks were also used:
<https://savannah.gnu.org/task/?group=octave>
Savannah Bugs can be seen as part of larger projects,
e.g., all the GUI-related bugs:
<http://tinyurl.com/kg4hnp3>

Not to mention whatever tools each developer use
on their own, from notepads to more fancy tools.

Do you miss any important TM feature in the either
the wiki or Savannah? If so, could you point us to a
TM FLOSS? E.g., would you recommend and/or have
experience with any software in this list:
<http://tinyurl.com/nftes52>

After an adequate TM tool is chosen,
it seems to me the next step would be
to populate tasks based on the wiki,
Savannah, and the developers' minds.

Thanks,
-F.
