I was looking at __unimplemented__ -- how about posting reverse bounties
online for them, individually or grouped?
These would be cost estimates offered by developers-for-hire, against which
users could pledge to pay for.
From the user's viewpoint, it'd be a more tangible return on investment,
compared to donations.
This site seems well tailored for the purpose: <https://www.catincan.com/>.
It's in contrast to user-driven direct bounties, such as in
<https://www.bountysource.com/search?query=octave> or
<http://freedomsponsors.org/>, or even more general crowdfunding such as
kickstarter.
Just an idea...
